Join us for Third Sunday Supper as we explore Racial Justice as Discipleship with Jim Melson of Cornelius Corps. The opening chapter of Scripture tells us that all people are made in the image of God. Throughout his life and ministry, Jesus consistently challenged religious and cultural boundaries that dishonored God’s image in marginalized people.
Racism has often been called America’s “original sin.” It has taken many forms, both individual and structural, and it continues to divide and oppress people today. As followers of Jesus Christ, how are we called to confess and repent of racism in its many forms and commit to racial justice and reconciliation? This evening offers a thoughtful, faith-grounded space for learning, reflection, and discipleship.
Dinner menu: Pancakes, sausage, and fruit.
Donations: Donations will be accepted to support Youth Missions at River Road UMC.
