Rev. Laura Fanizza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a provisional Deacon in the United Methodist Church. She has been a member of River Road United Methodist Church since graduating from Duke Divinity School in 2016.

Rev. Laura lives out her call to the ministry of the Deacon by providing counseling and social work services within the wider community. At River Road, she assists in leading worship, supports the prayer team, and offers pastoral care.

As a person living with low vision, Rev. Laura is deeply passionate about walking alongside individuals of all ages who are experiencing illness or disability. Her ministry centers on helping people grow in their understanding and love of God, discovering how their life experiences connect them more deeply to a community of faith.
